Eat glow. Cut worms off. Get paid in ETH.
wormio is a multiplayer worm arena on Robinhood Chain. Every 3 minutes the round ends and the top 5 holders on the board split the coin's trading fees, sent straight to their wallets.
Start playing
- Get the coin. Buy $WORMIO on Wormbook. You need to hold at least 100K to play and to get paid.
- Add your wallet. Paste your Robinhood Chain address (0x…) in the lobby, or sign in with your wallet. Payouts go to that address.
- Pick a skin and press Play. Stay alive and climb the board until the bell.
Controls
- Steer
- Move the mouse, or drag anywhere on your phone. Your worm follows.
- Boost
- Hold click, Space, or the bolt button. You go fast but burn length, and you leave a trail others can eat.
- Warp
- Swim into a wormhole to come out of its twin across the map, with a short speed surge.
- Kill
- Make another worm's head touch your body. They burst into loot. Your head touching a body kills you.
Who gets paid
When the bell rings, the top 5 living worms with a wallet split that round's pot:
- Holders only. At the bell the server checks each wallet's balance on-chain. You need 100K $WORMIO in the wallet you entered. If you sold, your spot goes to the next holder.
- Be alive at the bell. Only worms still in the arena when the round ends are ranked. Your score is for this life.
- One spot per wallet. Two tabs with the same wallet still count once.
- Nothing to claim. The ETH is sent to your wallet automatically, usually within seconds. You pay no gas.
- Small pots roll over. If the pot is under 0.00005 ETH, it isn't claimed yet and grows into the next round. Shares under 0.000005 ETH aren't sent, because the gas would cost more than they pay.
Where the pot comes from
The coin launches on Wormbook. Every buy and sell pays a 0.70% creator fee, which builds up in Wormbook's fee contract. A few seconds before each bell the game claims those fees, and that amount is the pot. The more the coin trades, the bigger the pot.
The pot is only ever the fees just claimed. The game never pays out of anyone's own funds.
Events
- Event Horizon
- On the hour and half hour. The arena ring collapses, nobody respawns, and the last worm alive takes 90% of the pot (if they hold the coin). Needs at least 2 players.
- Chaos Rift
- At :15 and :45, for 2 minutes. Power-ups everywhere: speed, shield, magnet, double food, phase and ghost. No payout, just mayhem, then a clean reset.
Fair play
- The server runs the game. Your browser only sends where you're steering, so speed and position can't be faked.
- Every worm in the arena is a real player.
- The biggest worms move slightly slower, and coiling in one spot drains mass, so camping doesn't pay.
- The arena resets every 3 rounds, so everyone gets a fresh start.
- New worms get a few seconds of spawn shield.

Questions
Do I have to claim my winnings?
No. They're sent to the wallet you entered as soon as the round settles.
I was top 5 but didn't get paid. Why?
The usual reasons: the wallet didn't hold enough of the coin at the bell, you died just before the bell, or the pot was small enough to roll into the next round. Check the Paid tab for that round.
Can I play on my phone?
Yes. Drag to steer and hold the bolt to boost. Add it to your home screen for full screen.
Does a wallet I paste need to be mine?
Payouts go to whatever address you enter, so enter your own. The holder check uses that same address.
Is this financial advice?
No. It's a game. Only hold what you're comfortable holding.
